Marcon International, Inc. is please to announce that it has been appointed by order of the Federal Court of Canada dated April 4, 2011 (the “Order”) as the exclusive representative of the court to solicit offers to purchase the vessel described below. Such offers are to be received not later than 5pm, Eastern Daylight Time, June 24th, 2011 BID DATE. File GS17934 Great Lakes Bulk Carrier 'MARITIME TRADER’ (ex – Teakglen, Mantadoc)
All welded steel, mono-hull displacement Great Lakes Bulk Carrier. She was built in accordance with LR Class requirements and maintained this class until previous lay-up as a grain storage unit. Her LR Class was restored after an extensive rebuild in 2005 and has been continually maintained while the vessel has been engaged in the seasonal grain trade in the Canadian Great Lakes.
The vessel has been working on a grain contract in the St. Lawrence Seaway and Great Lakes for the past several years. The vessel will be sold strictly “as is, where is”, with no representations or warranties whatsoever, but will be sold free and clear of any and all liens under Canadian maritime law and other claims and encumbrances.
