File GS17934 Great Lakes Bulk Carrier 'MARITIME TRADER’ (ex – Teakglen, Mantadoc)

All welded steel, mono-hull displacement Great Lakes Bulk Carrier.  She was built in accordance with LR Class requirements and maintained this class until previous lay-up as a grain storage unit.   Her LR Class was restored after an extensive rebuild in 2005 and has been continually maintained while the vessel has been engaged in the seasonal grain trade in the Canadian Great Lakes.

• REGISTRY:  GROSS & NET TONS:   10,901 /  7,788.  Official No. 325744.  IMO No. 6702301.  Call Sign:  CFN 4312.
• Class:  LR +100A1, +LMC Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway & Rivers (SS passed October 2005 with fresh 5 yr. Class certificates issued).   The vessel is now due for a 5 yr. Special Survey for Hull and Machinery in October 2010, including dry-docking.  Some of these items have been extended with Class at this time.  Repairs and certifications related to the continuous machinery items on the vessel are currently being undertaken.  In 2010 the Owner spent upwards of USD $400,000 in steel renewals in anticipation of the LR 5 Yr. Class special Survey, and an extension for dry-docking was granted by LR Class at that time.  Please see LR Status for review.

• 3 – 350kW / CATD379 diesel powered auxiliaries, 60Hz, 3 PH.
• 18 Hatch Covers / 6 Holds with total capacity of 761,400 cuft (grain), or about 16,431 mt of wheat.
• Quarters for about 15 crew / Full Galley / Air-conditioned, etc.
• Anchor Windlass forward with Double Wildcat / 2 – 5mt anchors with about 6 shots of chain each side.  1 – Thirge Stern anchor winch with anchor (abt. 8,000#);  Mooring Winches / 1 – Collomatic elect.-Hydraulic on stern; 2 – Collomatic just forward of the aft house; 2 – Collomatic just aft of the forward house )12.5 mt max pull each and 11 mt @ 50 ft. / min.).

The vessel has been working on a grain contract in the St. Lawrence Seaway and Great Lakes for the past several years.  The vessel will be sold strictly “as is, where is”, with no representations or warranties whatsoever, but will be sold free and clear of any and all liens under Canadian maritime law and other claims and encumbrances.
