 Marcon International, Inc., shipbrokers specializing in the worldwide towing and offshore petroleum industries, is delighted to announce the addition of a new broker to our existing team of five brokers.
Martin Coombe joined Marcon in the Summer of 2005 after leaving the Aberdeen based offshore brokerage house, Seabrokers AS, where he worked for the past 4 years as Chartering / Project broker.
Prior to that he worked with George Morrison Shipping in Leith, Edinburgh for 3 years in several roles that included Liner Agency and S&P Brokerage.
Martin graduated from the University of Plymouth, UK with an Honors Degree in Maritime Business. Currently he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
Born and raised in the UK, this is Martin's first position in the US after his recent diplomatic move from the UK to be closer to his in-laws. Other interests include traveling, playing golf, tennis, music and reading amongst many more. Current ambitions include
- to be able to snowboard and take up sailing.
Marcon has to-date in 2005 sold or chartered 29 vessels and barges plus had eleven additional sales and charters expected to close within the next 30 days.
